The Right Measure reflects on the subjective perspective and the control hidden behind the objective act of measuring.
By moving the measuring tapes, visitors can alter the visual composition of the work until they find the measure that is right from their perspective.
Even when the arrangement of the meters is changed to create a new composition, the measurement within the frame remains unchanged (20 x 25). The resulting meter segments, lying outside the frame, prompt reflection on what we overlook when measuring.
This work arises in accordance with the metric conditions proposed for the 20×25 exhibition at the Kunstraum Baden.
